La’Ron Marshall is a visionary leader, social justice advocate, and the driving force behind The Culture Effect Inc. (TCE). As Founder, CEO, and Board Chair, La’Ron leads with compassion, patience, and lived experience that powerfully shapes TCE’s mission of youth empowerment, reintegration, and equity.

He is a certified Paralegal with a deep understanding of federal law, a trained Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper, a Racial Healing Facilitator, and holds certifications in substance abuse recovery. La’Ron is also dual certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) and a Family Peer Recovery Support Specialist (FPRSS).

Having served 20 years in incarceration, five in the State of Michigan and fifteen in the Federal Bureau of Prisons. La’Ron knows firsthand the struggles faced by those society often disregards. He has dedicated his life to Reconstructing that pain into purpose, offering hope, structure, and opportunity to those in need.

Across the country, La’Ron has worked with communities to create revolutionary pathways for youth and families. His work reflects a relentless pursuit to break cycles of trauma, incarceration, and neglect. Especially for BIPOC youth and individuals with disabilities.

TCE is more than an organization, it’s a movement. And La’Ron Marshall is the living embodiment of that movement’s heart, voice, and vision.

Barbara Vaughn is a resilient and hardworking mother who overcame the challenges of homelessness as a teenager to graduate high school. 

She stays busy managing a full life, raising four children who are actively involved in sports. Barbara cherishes family time, especially during summer vacations spent camping, enjoying the beach, and exploring nature walks. 

Her dedication to her family and love for the outdoors reflect her strength and passion for creating lasting memories.

She remains loyal to her friends and family. Strong and reliable, she is easily one of the strongest and most determined women on this planet. 

David Abraham is a strategist, consultant, and justice reform advocate who brings deep expertise in storytelling, publishing, and digital organizing to The Culture Effect.

He founded Southeast Prison Advocates, a national platform amplifying incarcerated voices and publishing over 80 original articles. David has helped authors behind bars publish their books and share their lived experiences.

He’s led social campaigns reaching tens of thousands, using digital tools and hashtags like #Strive2wardFreedom to build community and push for change.

Through consulting, content creation, and advocacy, David helps bridge the gap between impacted individuals and the wider movement for transformation and healing.
